Meet the Staff:
Dental Assistants
Becky- Dental Assistant
Becky graduated from Kinman Business University
in Spokane, Washington in 1982. Becky has been married
for five years and is a mother of 2 girls and a step
son. She also has two grandchildren. She has spent most
of her life in North Idaho. Becky loves the outdoors,
gardening, animals and spending time with her
grandchildren.
Sylvia- Dental Assistant
Sylvia was born and raised in Germany, and has been
in dentistry for 30+ years. In Germany, she worked as a
hygienist and as an assistant. Between 1989 and 1992,
she was employed by the US Army on Wiesbaden Air Base.
After the end of the tour she moved to, and worked in
San Antonio, Texas. She has lived in the Tacoma area
since 1993. She acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in
2007 from the Evergreen State College. Sylvia joined Dr.
Hopkins and his team in November of 2007, and enjoys
working here with the staff and the patient
Sharon-Dental Assistant
Sharon has been working with Dr. Hopkins for over
thirteen years. She began her dental assisting career
several years ago in the small island community of
Sitka, Alaska. When not working she enjoys spending time
with her daughter and two grandchildren.
Tanya-Dental Assistant
Tanya has been in the dental field for eleven years.
She started working the front desk while in high school,
than transitioned to Pediatric dentistry and Community
Health Centers before joining Dr. Hopkins staff. Tanya
is newly married, and has two dogs and two kids (goats).
She works with both Dr. Hopkins and his Associates
Wednesday through Saturday. Tanya loves to help people
and make their dental experience as comfortable as
possible.
Meet the Staff:
Hygienists
Lindsey-Hygienist
Lindsey is a graduate of the Pierce College Dental
Program. She graduated from St. Mary's College in Notre
Dam, Indiana. When she is away from the dental office,
she enjoys hiking, running half and full marathons,
traveling and spending time with her family.
Jodi-Hygienist
Jodi is a graduate of Pierce College in dental
hygiene and has a BS from U of W in dental hygiene. She
worked for a periodontist for 12 years, and taught perio
at Pierce College for 4 years. She has been with Dr.
Hopkins for 15 years. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and
her dogs. Jodi is married and has 7 children and 15
grandchildren.
Grace-Hygienist
Grace is a proud graduate of Pierce College Dental
Hygiene Program. She is currently enrolled at EWU to
obtain her bachelor's in dental hygiene. Her real
passion is her family, animals, and public dentistry.
Helping others and making people smile have always been
her best attributes, which is why she choose dental
hygiene as her career path. If she is unable to restore
your smile, then she can at least make you laugh.
Brenda-Hygienist
Brenda has been a Hygienist for twenty four years.
She really enjoys dentistry, and working with people.
She ahs two grown children currently in college. In her
free time she enjoys raising alpaca's, gardening, and
spending time with my family.
Meet the Staff:
Office Management & Support Staff
Jamie-Office Manager
Jamie has been in the dental field for 6 years,
starting as her first doctors banker before joining his
team. Jamie recently moved to the area and joined our
staff. She loves to spend her spare time on the water,
whether it be boating, jet skiing or riding a seadoo, she
loves the combination of sunshine and water. When she is
not on the water she spends her time with my friends and
family and her 2 dogs.
Jayna-Financial Coordinator
Jayna recently joined the office as financial
coordinator. She is a lifelong resident of this area and
has been working in dental offices (assisting and front
office, even oral surgery!) since high school- more
years than she wants to admit too! Her husband, Jim,
Opened a cafe in Tacoma five years ago, so she took a
break from the dental field to work with him, fulfilling
their dream of running their own business. Now she is
happy to divide her time between the professional
office, the cafe, their family (2 kids,3 grandbabies!),
their puppy, Bernie and the garden
Stephanie-Financial Coordinator
Stephanie is a financial coordinator at Dr. Hopkins &
Associates. Her interest in the dental field began while
in high school, She pursued her interest by attending
CPTC in Lakewood, WA. In 2003 she graduated with a
certificate in dental assisting. Being a dental
assistant was a gratifying career for the first two
years, but the offices she was employed at during that
time allowed her to not only gain interest and knowledge
of assisting, but of the front office too. She has been
working in the front office since 2005, with her main
focus being dental insurance along with patient
finances. Each of the offices she has worked at in the
last six years allowed her to become more knowledgeable
and versatile. For the past nine months she has had the
privilege of working at Hopkins and Associates and is
looking forward to many rewarding years ahead in her
career.
Stacie-Scheduling Coordinator
Stacie has worked in the dental field for 10 years.
She finds it very rewarding helping and working with
patients. She finds joy in spending time with her
husband, two children, two little dogs, family and
friends.
Erika-Scheduling Coordinator
Erika has been working in the dental field for twenty
two years. She started her dental career by going to
Bates Vocational College training to be a dental
assistant. She has worked many years as an assistant and
enjoyed the challenge of working the front office as
well. She is currently a scheduling coordinator for Dr.
Hopkins and Associates and looks forward to many years
of success with this team of dentist and staff. In her
time off, she enjoys spending time with her family and
friends.
Jacqueline- Sterile Tech/ office support
Jacqueline started in the dental field sixteen years
ago. She has enjoyed learning and growing over the
years. She can be found all over the office. She has
been married for seven years and has one daughter. When
not at work she likes camping, gardening, sewing,
cooking, boating and breeding her Chihuahua's.
Victoria-Sterile Tech/Front office support
Victoria was born and raised in Oregon. There she
attended Chemeketa College. She then moved to Washington
State to attend Bryman College. She has been in the
dental field for two years. Victoria enjoys working in
the front office as well as working in the back. She
enjoys meeting all walks of life and feels a sense of
accomplishment working in the dental field. Victoria
says working for Dr. Hopkins and Associates has enriched
her life and has been a rewarding experience.
